#170133Versa I arrived in Guam at dawn and went to pick up the car, but I found the rental car booth right away, and the process of renting a car was not difficult. Maybe it was the middle of the night, but there was only one male employee in the booth, but he was really kind and explained slowly and easily when I didn't understand. Since the rent was paid online, I additionally paid $36 ($12 X 3 days) for the full auto insurance SUP that I had applied for in advance, $1.50 ($0.50 X 3 days) for the airport facility fee, and a total of $37.50. After reading the notice given by the booth staff, I went to the parking lot and the car was ready. The vehicle I rented was a Versa, which was about the size of a K3. The car is close to new with 6755 miles on it, so it's quiet and performs perfectly. However, the smell of the new car was so strong that I had to ventilate the car frequently while driving. Compared to Seoul, Guam seems to be a driver's paradise. First of all, there are not many vehicles on the road, and I have never seen any traffic lights/speed cameras. Wherever we went, there was ample parking space, and there was no place to charge for parking. (I heard that the only place in Guam where I received a parking fee was the airport, but there was no parking at the airport...) Just when I went to the Chamorro traditional night market on Wednesday evening, I went late, so I waited for about 3 minutes to park. My flight to Korea was early in the morning, so I went to return the car around midnight. Before returning it, I gasped near the airport. I rented a car for 3 days, but I had to fill up on gas once before returning it, and it cost me about $46 for gas. The place to return the car is the same place where I picked it up, so I thought it wouldn't be difficult to find it, so I didn't know the return place beforehand. When I went to Guam Airport and followed the parking lot signpost, I saw a sign saying return rental car, so I went there and found it without difficulty. The return process was also quick and easy. After returning the key to the staff, I briefly checked to see if there was anything left inside the car, and I was sorry that the staff had already taken out the suitcase from the trunk. They said that you could leave the beach chair you rented for free in the trunk of your car, but you had to return the Wi-Fi egg to the indoor rental booth. (Wi-Fi Egg is also a free service). The Wi-Fi Egg was not as fast as SKT's roaming phone, but it was useful for family members who went without roaming to make Kakao Talk or simple searches. When I went to the booth to return the Wi-Fi eggs, there were two female staff members who were also very kind. I've rented a car abroad a lot, but I've never heard of Nissan Rent-A-Car, so I was honestly worried about renting a car from Nissan Rent-A-Car, but I didn't feel any difference from other famous companies in terms of vehicle condition or service. If I hadn't rented a car in Guam, I'm dizzy just thinking about how I would have traveled under the scorching sun early in the morning. Also, I wonder if I would have been able to freely go anywhere I wanted in the evening.
